Week of 4-6 - 4-10 Focus for the week: Core:) The core includes not only abdominals, but also the hips and lower back. Daily activities are easier when these three areas are strong. Core is something that can be worked on everyday:) Again, these are optional workouts:) I also included one indoor cardio workout. Please reach out by email if you have any questions or if you just want to say hi:)
Dance Students: Here are some great workouts for this week! You do not need to email me after doing them, and no grade will be received for them. If you need to complete any PE make-ups, these workouts can be used. Please email me before completing a PE make-up. I have also included some indoor cardio workouts along with the WTA link. The Washington Trails Association offers some information on neighborhood strolls and hiking in the time of Coronavirus. Most trails are now closed, but there are still some ways to take advantage of urban green spaces. www.wta.org/
Hello Dance Students! Here are some workouts you can do this week to stay active. These workouts include dance, yoga, and a strength circuit. I will also include a few hiking trails in our area that are accessible this time of year. However, please check trail conditions before heading out for a hike. https://www.wta.org/ None of the workouts or hikes are required.
Poo Poo Point (Starting from the Chirico Trail will be 3.8 miles round trip. Starting from the High School will be just over 7 miles) The High School Trail will be a better option because less people take this route, and the trail is wider. If going from the Chirico trail, consider setting out earlier in the day.
Little Si (3.7 mile round trip) - Popular hike, so consider hiking early in the morning. Most of the trail is wide to practice social distancing.
Any of the hikes we have done as a class are also good options.
