Yoga Waiver for "Hot Yoga Experience"

The waiver must be filled out prior to attending the class! Please have this filled out by the end of week one. July 15th and July 16th will be the dates for our class to attend (Half of the class first day, half of class second day). We will provide a yoga mat, but please bring a towel and water bottle.
Journal Entry #2: The Perfect Day Hike (Due Sunday July 21st by 10:00 PM) - Email responses to Ms. Bykonen. ([email protected])
Go to the website Washington Trails Association: https://www.wta.org/
Search for one day hike (4-12 miles) in our state that you would be interested doing this summer. If you click on the tab "Go Outside", that will give you ton of hikes in our area. An easy way to find some is from "Go Outside", click on "Hikes by Season."
In your write-up, include the following: (This can be found "From the Hiking Guide")
Write-up should be at least half page, double spaced.
1. Mileage
2. What's special about the hike? (viewpoints, scenery along the trail, wildflowers, wildlife, etc)
3. Elevation (gain and highest point)
4. Parking pass/entry pass required?
5. Where is the hike located?
6. Things you should bring on the day hike
7. Read the most recent trip report and include something that a hiker said about his/her trip. (This can be found on the section titled "Trip Reports."
Week Three Home Cooking Project due Friday July 26th
Week Four Home Cooking Project or Day Hike plus report due Thursday 8-1
Alternative Assignment to Week Four Home Cooking:
Whatever hike you chose to research for week two, you will actually go and hike the trail before August 1st:) Please use the Washington Trails Association website to check conditions before you go and hike with a friend or family member. Always tell someone where you will be going too.
Things to include in the report:
1. Six pictures of you from the hike. The first picture needs to be you next to the trail head sign and the last at the viewpoint.
2. Half page reflection of your experience (typed, double spaced)
3. Mileage and elevation of the hike
*Remember, the hike must at least four miles. A hard copy of this assignment will be due on Thursday 8-1!
